These paintings include architectural elements, city scapes, buildings, fountains, doorways, windows, etc. I am fascinated with how man made structures, complement and contrast with their natural environment. The untamed, wildness of a hollyhock stand, the miracle of abundant Iris, the soft persistence of a climbing rose versus the desperate hopes of a garden wall or the lazy adobe arch, or the optimism of a window.
